Discipleship
We believe discipleship is an ongoing and lifeline journey that benefits from daily dedication to the Word, prayer, worship, and from time spent in genuine relationship with other Christians. Following the model of Jesus and the Apostles, we are committed to daily growth as a priority of the church, not an afterthought.
We do this through groups, classes, and active discussions on Sundays, as well as daily and weekly commitments to one another to study Scripture, pray together, bear one another's burdens, and spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24-25).
Our Discipleship Pathway
-
This is a six-week sequence of classes offered repeatedly throughout the year for those new to the faith or those who just want to learn more. This is different from our Membership classes and Equip classes. It is designed to immediately grab the hand of the new believer and help them begin their journey of discipleship in Jesus.
Classes are offered each week after service and last approximately 45 minutes. Classes do not have to be taken in order or all at once. You do not need to sign up beforehand. We simply invite you to join us.
Here is the schedule of classes that will repeat every seven weeks:
What is the overarching and unified story of the Bible? What is the Gospel?
Who is the Trinitarian God?
What is Jesus’ call to follow Him, and what does it look like?
What is justification, sanctification, and glorification?
Who are the people of God, what is the Church, and what has Jesus asked of His Church?
How does the Holy Spirit minister to us?
Sabbath Week - no class this week.

As a church, we engage in the discipleship of Jesus together. We do this through many modes and practices - one of which is our commitment to daily rhythms of Word and prayer.
We walk in this commitment together, wrapping it into our church DNA. We center our small groups on this, but also corporately engage in these daily rhythms.
We do this by simply reading through the Word of God together each day and by growing a prayer-saturated life.
Here’s what it looks like:
Each week, the daily reading schedule is emailed to the congregation. We read two chapters per day. One chapter at two different times if possible, or two at once if not.
We encourage prayer at Bible reading times, meals, and other repetitive daily tasks until prayer becomes an ongoing conversation - even in the non-repetitive.
We teach and model prayer. At church, in classes, and in our small groups.
We discuss the chapters in our weekly/bi-weekly small groups.

We offer classes throughout the year on theology, biblical studies, Christian living, and other topics to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12).
Classes will be offered starting in January 2027 and will generally run each week for 8- 16 weeks. They will be held on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm. Youth and Children also meet on Tuesday nights so the whole family can come!
Our current Equip Class is:

Following the pattern of Jesus, who invested deeply in a few, we gather in smaller communities to do life together and pursue transformation in Christ. Groups are invested in one another’s lives, care for and support one another, and help point one another to Christ and carry one another toward growth in Christlikeness. It’s a space that enables us to bear burdens, speak truth with grace, and pray earnestly, as we move toward Jesus, together.
Groups will be launching in 2027! Currently, we are meeting together on Tuesdays at 6:00pm as one collective group to do the life of a small group together. Youth and Children also meet on Tuesday nights so the whole family can come! We meet at _____ in ____ room.
